The Burlington Board of Health requires a permit and/or license to operate the following activities or businesses in the Town of Burlington:

Temporary Food 
  • Mobile Food Vendor or Cart: DO NOT apply for a Temporary Food Permit even if you are only servicing a one day event. All Mobile Food Vendors or Carts MUST apply for a "Mobile Food- Mobile Food Operator" or "Mobile Food- Ice Cream Truck Operator" Permit, no exceptions. 
  • Food Vendor Application: required for any business selling food at a single event or celebration for a maximum of 14 days.
  • Event Organizer Application: required for any organization hosting a single event or celebration for a maximum of 14 days where three (3) or more temporary food vendors and/or mobile food vendors will be present.
  • Seasonal Event Organizer Application: required for any organization hosting a single event or celebration for more than one month where three (3) or more temporary food vendors and/or mobile food vendors will be present.
