BURLINGTON - The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing a long-term closure on the Middlesex Turnpike northbound and southbound at the I-95 bridge in Burlington. There will be a left travel lane closed in both directions starting Monday morning, January 31, 2022 at 6 a.m. These lane closures will continue through Friday, June 17, 2022.
The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and effectively perform construction operations to rehabilitate the I-95 bridge.
Those traveling through the area should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. Appropriate signage, law enforcement details and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the construction zone.
This bridge repair is part of a $6.67 million structural bridge maintenance contract awarded to NEL Corporation.
