Thank you for your interest in working for the Town of Burlington!  All of our current openings are listed on our Careers Portal.  Through this link you can view and apply for openings within the Town.  Please check this page frequently as it is continuously updated.  

Important Notes:

REGISTER
Registering is optional and will create an account so that you can login to update your personal information, check which jobs you've applied to, as well as email the job's contact person.  This will assist you in applying for current or future openings, but will not be considered a formal application.

APPLY ONLINE
Applications are required to be considered a candidate for any position.  Please complete all fields as thoroughly and accurately as possible in order to help our hiring managers best match your qualifications to the available position.

If you are applying for multiple positions, you must complete a new application for each position.  This is important so that we can accurately track the positions for which you are interested, and it also provides you with the opportunity to update your application with any new positions or skills that you've obtained.

It is strongly suggested that candidates apply online, to ensure the quickest review of your application.  However, you may download our application for employment and submit it to the Human Resources Office.

RESUME
A resume is recommended and can be uploaded into the application. Acceptable formats for uploading a resume are Word (.doc) or PDF (.pdf) files.

COVER LETTER
To include a cover letter, you may upload a Word (.doc) or PDF (.pdf) file when completing the online application.

NEXT STEPS
Once you've submitted an online application, you will immediately receive an automated email confirming receipt of your application. If you do not receive an email notification, please check your spam folder or log-into your account to review your job submission.

A submitted application will be reviewed by our hiring managers and you will be contacted if your background appears to be a strong match for a position.  We make every effort to communicate with you as information is available throughout the application process; therefore it is unnecessary to contact us to inquire about the status of your application.
