This Week's Burlington Photo
The Reed Ham Works was the town's biggest company through the late 19th and early 20th century. The Reed Ham Works produced smoked hams for export and at one time employed about 20 people. Located at 328 Cambridge St., it transported its finished products to Boston and the nearby suburbs using wagons like this. This view is one of a series of promotional pictures created for the Burlington Cattle Show of September, 1889.
