We've Changed Our Name!
For over forty years, first as the volunteer-run Burlington House of Commons, then, since 1974, as a town department Burlington Community Life Center has provided free or low-cost mental health and social services for the residents of the Town of Burlington.
Our agency has been closely involved in the life of our community, working and sharing resources with our schools, the town's Council on Aging, healthcare professionals, public safety departments, the clergy, and a variety of local nonprofit organizations to help ensure the well-being of all those who live and work in our town.
That shared mission and those close relationship will continue in all that we do. Because so much of our work over the past four decades has focused on assisting Burlington's families, youth, children and young adults, we are changing our name to better reflect that reality and to clarify that we are here especially for them.
At a meeting this past June, the Board of Selectmen voted to change the agency's name to Burlington Youth and Family Services. Our telephone numbers remain the same, however, please not the change in our general e-mail address. Look for our new web page to learn more about what we do and how we might be able to help.
