Make an appointment with a librarian for technology help and for assistance with library resources. The library offers 45 minute one-on-one sessions covering the topics below. An appointment is required. Call the reference desk at 781-270-1691 to schedule an appointment.
What we can help with:
Internet Basics– Learn the basics of both the Internet and searching. If you need help using a mouse or maneuvering the arrow on a computer, please let us know when you sign up for your appointment.
E-mail – Set up a Yahoo, Gmail or AOL account.
eBook and eAudiobook Downloads – Borrow books from our Overdrive and Commonwealth eBooks Collection. Download to your device or read online.
Research – We can give you an overview of our databases or help you research a topic.
Freegal – Music downloads
Consumer Reports- Research products before you buy.
Genealogy – Our databases include Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest
Resumes – Create a resume using Cypress Resume
Morningstar – Learn to research stocks and mutual funds using Morningstar.
Rocket – Learn a new language

What we cannot help with:
Staff will not offer computer technical support or troubleshooting.
Staff is unable to remove viruses or spyware.
Staff will not make adjustments or repairs to laptops or other devices.
Patrons can only book one session at a time.
The Burlington Public library will not be responsible for any damages to a patron’s device during a training session.
