Busy Week for Burlington Firefighters |

The week of Memorial day was a busy one for the Burlington Fire Department. The week Began with Burlington Firefighters and Armstrong Paramedics in assisting in the birth of a baby girl. Tuesday Burlington Firefighters responded to tragic Motor vehicle accident where an elderly female died. (Pics) Wednesday crews responded to a multi-alarm fire at the new Wayside Commons currently under construction. (Pics) Thursday Firefighters has a large transformer fire trapping several people in an elevator at 25 Mall Road. Firefighters also had to respond to a Handicap Van that caught fire later that afternoon. Firefighter also handled numerous medical emergency, responded to motor vehicle crashes and responded to multiple fire alarm activations. In between calls the Fire Fighters were being trained in self rescue techniques. |
