Burlington Firefighter Respond to 2 Alarm Fire at Wayside Commons

Firefighters responded to 911 calls for smoke and fire showing on the roof of the Wayside commons currently under construction.  The initial calls came at approximately 16:40 while Engine 1 and A1 were handling a medical on the far side of town. 

Tower 1 was first on Scene with Engine 2 following close behind.  Engine 1 responded from the scene of the medical and Ambulance 1's crew returned to the station and responded with Engine 4.

The fire was quickly brought under control within 20 minutes with approximately another 90 minutes of extensive overhaul, with the final crews clearing at Approximately 19:00 hours

An engine company and ladder company from Woburn helped battled the blaze with Bedford, Arlington and other towns providing coverage.
