Firefighters Rescue Window Washer from 5th floor @ 200 Wheeler Road

At approximately noon time on Thursday December 1, 2005,  Engine 4, Ambulance 2, C3 and Tower 1 manned by Engine 1's crew responded to window washer hanging approximately 5 stories up.  

The man became trapped when his rope failed jamming his rigging . The man was unable to move up or down although a second safety line did prevent him from falling.  Using Tower 1 Lt. McLean and FF Arbing were able to position themselves under the man and free him from the ropes, place him in the bucket, and return him to the ground unharmed.
