Firefighters Hold Open House at Burlington Headquarters

  On October 15, 2005 BFD had there Open House to the public.  Although it was a day of torrential rain it was a huge success with approximately 500 people attending.  Those who turned out were able to participate in such activities as Search & Rescue,  Hose Handling and the new interactive Hazard House which was recently purchased with grant money.  This hazard house will soon be used to teach children in local schools as well as adults during  informational sessions held by fire prevention.

Also on display was the new Marine 1 rescue boat, ice sled and rescue truck.
