Storytime

Raise your child to be a reader!

 You are your child’s most important teacher. The Burlington Public Library offers weekly storytime sessions to help your child develop reading, language and listening skills needed to succeed in school. Together, parents and librarians help children get ready to read!  

Please Note: Caregivers are expected to stay with children during allstorytime sessions. No registration is required for storytime – just drop by!

No regularly scheduled toddler and preschool storytimes on March 18, April 22, & May 20.

Baby Storytime For caregivers with children ages birth-18 months. Delight and stimulate your baby’s senses with books, songs, toys and puppets! Build brain power! Fridays @ 11 am (No storytime on April 24)

Toddler Storytime For caregivers with children 18-36 months. Interact with your toddler to nurture a love of books. Be active with music and movement! Tuesdays and Wednesdays @ 10:30am

Preschool Storytime For caregivers with children ages 3-6 years. Help your preschooler get ready to read. Enjoy stories together and build language skills! Tuesdays & Wednesdays @ 11am

Pajama Storytime For caregivers with children ages 3-7. Bring your favorite stuffed animal & blanket, and snuggle in for some evening storytime fun! Tuesdays @ 7pm (No storytime on April 21)

Spectrum Storytime A new storytime specially designed for caregivers with children on the autism spectrum.  Come share stories, rhymes, music, sensory fun, and movement in a flexible atmosphere that encourages participation on all levels. Upcoming Fridays, March 20, April 10, & May 15 @ 1pm
