Burlington Community Health Fair on Saturday, May 6
The Burlington Board of Health will be hosting their second annual Burlington Community Health Fair on Saturday, May 6 from 10 am- 1 pm at the Burlington High School Gymnasium. The Health Fair is sponsored by Lahey Hospital and Medical Center and will provide an excellent opportunity for families to discover the health and wellness services available in or near Burlington.
The health fair will include over 30 exhibitors covering a wide range of services for people of all ages. There will be educational information, health screenings, fitness demonstrations, and other wellness services. Educational information will be provided on nutrition fall prevention, skin cancer, oral care, and other social services.
Some new exhibitors this year include an introduction to therapy dogs and opioid education where a mock teen bedroom will be available for parents to walk through. "Stop the Bleed" training will be held continually during the fair (see below). Fitness demonstrations will be conducted throughout the day with Zumba from 10 am – 11 am, Karate from 11 am – 12 pm, and Tai Chi from 12 pm – 1 pm. So bring your sneakers and join us for a free exercise class.
All screenings and services are provided free. In addition to the above, all guests will receive 25 free chances to win more various raffle items including gift baskets, gift cards, one month of karate training, a personal training session, and many more.
