Council on Aging Tax Program The Council on Aging offers COA participants the opportunity to work up to 100 hours per year at a rate equivalent to minimum wage. This amount is applied toward the participant's property taxes. Contact Marge McDonald at 781-270-1953 or coa@burlmass.org for more information. The Town Clerk's office has been fortunate enough to participate in this program and has had wonderful, wonderful assistance. Thank you, to Ann Hillson for her assistance!
Volunteer and Internship Opportunities Preservation internships/volunteer positions are also available. Current possibilities include rehousing historic material in archival-quality containers (permanent paper folders, boxes, Mylar, etc.) and constructing custom-size containers for fragile volumes. Indexing interns/volunteers are needed to do personal name, geographic name and subject indexing. Indexing will be completed in an Access database. For more information, please contact the Archivist/Records Manager. |
