The Ten Commandments

Although the gold rush transformed California from a sparsely-populated Spanish-themed territory in a short period of time, it did not mean that civilization was completely absent. A widely-distributed print of the period attempts to educate miners about the rules for living a good life and surviving in the gold fields.
