Welcome to the Benefits Page The Town of Burlington offers a variety of benefits to their employees. As a new employee, enrollment in health insurance begins on your date of hire and dental and life insurance begins on the first of the month following your date of hire. You will not be eligible to enroll in health or dental insurance again until open enrollment or in the event of a "qualifying event". To inquire about health, life, dental, and disability insurance contact the benefits department of the treasurer's office at 781-270-1623. The monthly rates for health insurance for 2007 and options for employees are listed below.

Open enrollment is July 1, 2009The Town of Burlington offers a variety of term life insurance plans. ING Reliastar Life Insurance Company offers a $5,000 life insurance policy for $3.47 monthly. You may also apply through Reliastar for additional amounts from $20,000 to $500,000 in $10,000 increments. Rates are based on your age at the time your coverage begins. Coverage is also offered to spouses even if the employee does not choose to participate. Children's coverage is available in $5,000 and $10,000 amounts until the age of 19 or age 23 if a full-time student. Disability insurance is an employee-paid program available through United States Life Insurance Company. Short Term and Long Term disability rates are based on your age and weekly salary. |
