The Burlington Community Life Center (BCLC) is a Town
department responsible for providing mental health and social
services to families with adolescents and young adults. BCLC also
provides information and referral services for ALL residents
regardless of age. Services provided by the BCLC include:
- Working with adults and young people on diverse problems
such as drug and alcohol use, parenting skills, family
conflict, marriage and relationship problems, depression
and suicide, neglect and the like.
- Individual, group, and family therapy services.
- Meets regularly with the Burlington Clergy Association as
well as local and regional meetings of agencies and
programs concerned with mental health or social services
(Lahey Clinic's Initiative Committee on Domestic
Violence, Burlington's Health Advisory Committee, and
other adolescent service organizations).
- People Helping People, Inc. - an umbrella organization
made up of community volunteers who oversee and
coordinate the efforts of three established groups:
Holiday Program, Covenant for Basic Needs, and the
Community Pantry.
