Up Coming Events Stay Tuned For The Next Event Mission Statement To preserve and restore the Marion Tavern at Grand View Farm by establishing a self-sustaining legacy for the benefit and enjoyment of our citizens and future generations. Naming Note References can be found to both the "Grand View Farm" and the "Grandview Farm". Historical precedence goes to the first usage so the Committee recommends using the "Grand View Farm" for future references. Update The town has signed a contract with SEA to generate drawings for the new barn, to handle the bidding process and to oversee the Shawsheen work on the interior of the house. The Phase 1 bricks have been installed in the commemorative walkway at the traffic bump-out by landscape architect Ryan Wikman of WikWorks. Interior work is progressing. Students from the Shawsheen Vocational Technical School are now involved in initial electrical, HVAC and plumbing rough work for the house interior. The committee is currently seeking input on Phase II to recreate the small barn and finish the interior of the main house. The goal is to provide space for municipal and community use. Construction for Phase II is expected to start in the spring of 2010. Please help by attending a meeting, buying a brick (Thanks to the almost 300 donors who purchased bricks for the October placement), buying other commemorative items or making a donation.
